Resin Oak Coffee Table

This piece was from Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire where it was found by myself. It was taken back to my workshop where it was cleaned, treated, sanded and oiled. I have filled the natural crack in this piece with Easy Composites Epoxy Resin with a metallic silver pigment. This natural crack tells a wonderful story about the tree this piece came from. Due to the tree growing so large it developed a crack down the middle meaning it became unstable and threatened to fall onto the land owners house or the nearby road. This unique feature makes for an amazing coffee table.

It is now in its new home with Dillon and Elisha in their new house in Kensington.

Bow Tie Oak Coffee Table

This piece was from Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire where it was found by myself. It was taken back to my workshop where it was cleaned, treated, sanded and oiled being very careful to preserve the natural look of this beautiful piece of oak. I have used two dovetail joins in this piece to repair a natural crack that has occurred in the oak slice. This unique piece had a wonderful rustic style that is full of character. This piece is supported by three 14” hairpin legs.

This piece is now in its new home in West Yorkshire with a fresh lease of life.

Large Oak Coffee Table

This piece has a very special place in the Rescued Wood family as it was the first one we made and to this day, still one of the favourites. Using just an old pad sander it took days to get this piece level and smooth. This piece is now in new home in the Calder Valley.

Oak side table

This piece has s such a unique shape with an almost flat edge allowing it to sit against a wall or sofa. This is a bespoke piece made for a friend in York for his new apartment.

Resin Oak Coffee Table

This is a sister piece to another one of my resin tables. I decided to remove the bark from this this piece as there was a lot of damage to it. The natural crack trough the middle of the piece filled with epoxy resin with a pearl silver pigment makes for such a beautiful and unique look. This piece went to a good friend of rescued wood in Birmingham, UK. This piece looks amazing is such a lovely house.

Oak Side Table

This has to be one of my favourites. This is one of the first tables I made. The wood used for this piece was dragged by myself from the Calder River as it floated through Brighouse, West Yorkshire. I love the unusual shape of this piece and its unique features. This piece is now in its new home in Glasgow, Scotland.
