Rescued Wood Designs all started from a late night venture into the Calder River. While working part-time at a local climbing wall located on the Calder River I noticed a large cross cut of wood had wedged its self at the top of the weir. The piece floated there for a couple of days until I had the opportunity to rescue the piece, after finishing coaching the youth team. I jumped into the river to recover, what turned out to be a beautiful piece of oak. I used this piece to create my first coffee table that was sent to a new home in West Yorkshire.

From this point onwards I developed a passion for using reclaimed wood to create beautiful, sustainable furniture creating Rescued Wood Designs.
